Using Light and Dark to Portray 3D objects

In art, Year 6 have been thinking about how they can use light and dark to paint realistic images of three dimensional objects.  Using watercolours, they developed the skills of mixing colours and layering to achieve the desired effect of making the objects they were paining look three dimensional.
