Sundials

Year 5 made the most of the autumn sun today as they tracked the position of the sun using their home made sundials.

We drew on our previous learning from year 5 to use compasses to identify the south. 

We then applied our new learning around day and night to explain why the sun appears to move from east to west. 

All of the children worked well as a team and recorded their results with great accuracy. Well done year 5.
