Our class trip to Whipsnade Zoo

What an amazing day we had at Whipsnade Zoo on Wednesday!

First, we had an amazing workshop with Marcus the zookeeper where the children expanded their knowledge of animals and their habitats and how to conserve and protect them.

Our children had wonderful questions for Marcus which he knew all the answers to!

We saw lots of endangered animals including  a cheetah, chimpanzees and white rhino and learnt facts about them as we travelled around the zoo. We have begun using our experience to write recounts to tell the year 1 children what to expect.
