Heart Dissection

Year 6 has been exploring how the circulation system works and had the exciting opportunity to dissect some hearts. We first identified the different veins and arteries using labelled lollipop sticks so we could see the direction of flow of the blood we then carried out a careful dissection so that we could see the chambers and valves within each side of the heart. It was a great experience and really enhanced our understanding of this exciting science topic!
