Germination

Having learnt how seeds are produced, we now wanted to find out how they germinate. 

We looked inside runner bean seeds to see if that would give us any clues. We predicted whether they would need light to germinate. Some of us thought that they would as they need light to photosynthesis and make food. Many of us thought that they wouldn't as they already had a food store inside the seed. 

 We set up a fair test to find out! We will let you know the results next week.
