First Day Boxes

The first day of a new school year is always an exciting time. You are never quite sure what to expect. 

Today, year 5 captured some of these feelings  inside our first day boxes. 

We began by decorating them with the things we are interested in at the moment. These included games we liked to play, books we liked to read and our pets. Inside we stored our hopes and dreams for the year and drew cartoon pictures to represent our feelings. In addition, we added a piece of string to show how tall we are at the moment.  

We will not open these boxes again until the very last day of year 5. We will then see if me managed to achieve our dreams, if our feelings have changed and if we have grown any taller.
