ESA's Biomass Mission
This week, Year 6 were lucky enough to hear, first-hand from the scientists at Airbus in Stevenage, about the launch of the European Space Agency’s Biomass mission. The satellite, which will be launched on Tuesday 29th April, aims to weigh the earth’s rainforests from space and to understand how deforestation and changes in land use are affecting carbon dioxide emissions into the atmosphere. Year 6 made posters about the launch and considered the importance of the mission’s work.
