Reception Ready

We are beginning to think about getting ready to move on and transition to Reception. Our role play corner now reflects a school classroom, helping the children to explore what school might be like.

We have been practising putting on and taking off spare cardigans and jumpers, as well as fastening zips and buttons to support independence. We have also been mark making in a variety of ways, using chalkboards, whiteboards and exercise books. Some children have enjoyed pretending to be the teacher and taking the register. Not long now until the end of the year!
